A single-vehicle crash Monday evening in Greene County resulted in the death of a man from Tuscaloosa, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says.

The crash happened just before 8 p.m. Nov. 11 on Interstate 59 near the 27-mile marker, about 5 miles north of Epes.

Medford M. Taylor, 54, was fatally injured when the SUV he was driving ran off the road and into a tree. Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene.

ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division is investigating the cause of the wreck.
