CLEVELAND, Ohio — After starting the season on a positive note by winning two out of three games from Central Division foe, the Kansas City Royals, the Cleveland Guardians proceeded to get swept by the San Diego Padres.

The Guardians offense looked good, scoring 17 runs in the series versus the Royals, but then against the Padres the offense was nonexistent, scoring just four runs in three games.

The good news as of Friday was that the Guardians, despite their sluggish offense, are one three of the teams in the Central Division tied for first at 2-4, with the Minnesota Twins last at 2-5.

Is the Guardians’ offense already in crisis mode?
