Hit the Slopes With Confidence!
Ski season is approaching quickly! In fact, Wolf Creek is already open. I don't know about you, but I'm in slight panic mode. The start of ski season means it's time to work those skiing and snowboarding muscles again. One thing that may be particularly helpful is looking for specific ski/snowboard-oriented conditioning classes.
Lucky for you, I will share some options for ski prep classes. I've compiled a list of ski conditioning classes in and around the Denver area and online. These classes will help get you in shape and ready for the slopes.
And don't worry that the season is already starting! That doesn't mean you should give up on conditioning. It's never too late to start getting your body ready for the mountain.

The Mountain Project Ski Conditioning
The Mountain Project offers awesome and relatively low-priced online ski conditioning classes. They offer 8-week conditioning classes for both Nordic skiing and Alpine skiing. Beyond that, The Mountain Project provides optional 1-1 support for an additional $89. So, if you're the kind of person who thrives with extra guidance, that could be a great option.
Bumps for Boomers
Despite the name, those under 60 can still benefit from this course. Skiing can be rough on our bodies, so we can all benefit from proper training. Plus, we want to be skiing until we're dead, right? Just me? Bumps for Boomers partnered with Aspen's top personal trainers and ski fitness experts to give you two awesome video exercise programs. Your fitness program coach, Bill Fabrocini, specializes in orthopedic physical therapy and sports performance coaching. The best part? It's free!
Alpine Training Project
Physical therapists also designed the programs offered through the Alpine Training Project. The online program offers six months of access to their online workouts. They also offer a six-week in-person program, but there are currently no locations in Colorado.

Movement has various locations in and around Denver. In addition to a climbing wall and yoga classes, there's much more to love, including conditioning classes. The Alpine Fit class is perfect for the mountain sports enthusiast, as it will help you prepare for skiing, mountain climbing, and more by focusing on upper body strength, leg strength, core stability, and balance.
Mountain Strong Denver
Mountain Strong Denver is a gym that's made for your typical Coloradan. They have awesome programs to help prepare you for your mountain adventures, including their six-week-long ski and snowboarding camp.
Core Power
Yoga is one of my favorite forms of exercise. It's great for building strength, balance, and flexibility and can range from challenging to restorative. It's truly one of the best types of exercise (IMO). Core Power, a popular yoga studio chain, put together this great blog full of yoga poses skiers and boarders will love before and after a day on the slopes.
As ski season approaches, preparing your body is crucial for improving performance and comfort and minimizing injury risk on the slopes. With various ski conditioning classes available in the Denver area and online, there's no shortage of options to get in shape and build the necessary strength, endurance, and flexibility.
