Ha Ha Tonka State Park is gaining national attention after being nominated for Best State Park in the USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.

The park, located in Camden County, is known for its scenic trails, natural bridges, caves, and the iconic ruins of a stone castle overlooking the Lake of the Ozarks. Now, it’s representing Missouri on a national stage — and the public’s votes could help it claim the top spot.

Missouri State Parks announced the nomination on social media and encouraged supporters to vote daily through May 12.

Voting is open to the public and can be completed online . Winners will be announced following the close of voting. KOMU 8 News will continue to follow the results.
