CHICAGO – To celebrate the mischief of April Fools Day, the wizarding world of Harry Potter took over the Windy City with a spellbinding stunt.

The famous Bean in Grant Park wasn’t the only bean turning heads Tuesday.

Giant Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans were floating in the Chicago River just beneath the Michigan Avenue Bridge, creating a visually striking and whimsical moment along the river.

Fans of the iconic Harry Potter franchise can get a closer look at the beans up until 6 p.m. tonight, take pictures and participate in taste-test challenges to guess the quirky flavors, from cherry and lemon to grass and even vomit (while supplies last).

Fans can also join in on the fun virtually by activating a Harry Potter Shop Chicago bean filter by heading to @harrypottershop on TikTok.

The event celebrates the upcoming Harry Potter Shop Chicago opening, which is set for Thursday, April 10 at 10 a.m. The shop will be located at 676 North Michigan Avenue.
