Transformer’s "Heartbreaker's Ball" is the perfect Valentine's Day party for art lovers who want to have a sweet time.
If you love innovative and avant-garde modern art, then you should check out Transformer’s Heartbreaker's Ball on Saturday, Feb. 17, at Comet Ping Pong! This unique event will feature a photo booth, body painting, tarot carding readings, custom cocktails and beer, an ice cream and dessert bar, DJs and live music, and the work of more than 40 Washington, D.C., artists! Heartbreaker’s Ball has all the makings of an über-cool hipster art party and is for a good cause as proceeds will go towards Transformer’s efforts in supporting the continued work and promotion of local artists and providing the community with artistic explorations and future events and exhibits.
While the ball will be a chance for art lovers to get their art fix while enjoying food and libations, the event will also feature some cool dance music for those who like to shake their groove thang to a set of some funky “genre-non-comforming” club and bass music (house/hip-hop mixes) by DJ Ayes Cold.
DJ Ayes Cold is a regular in the DJ booth at many of D.C.’s most well-regarded dance clubs and venues, such as U-Street Music Hall, 18th Street Lounge, and Tropicalia. She is the weekly host and resident DJ of the Line Hotel and Full Service Radio’s Friday Community Podcast “Local Support.”
