UPDATE 7:45 A.M.: Action News Jax has more details regarding a heavy police presence in the Murray Hill neighborhood late on Saturday, February 15.The Jacksonville Sheriffs Office (JSO) says that at around 10 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of Post St., where upon arrival had found a victim with a gunshot wound to the face.An initial investigation done by JSO reveals that the shooting is based on a traffic incident, where the occupant of the car behind the victim exited their vehicle and began a short verbal argument. The suspect fired the firearm once.Responding officers detained a potential suspect as well as several witnesses.The victim was transported by JFRD to a local hospital in critical condition.JSO encourages anyone who may have seen this shooting occur to contact the JSO non-emergency number at 904-630-0500.
