The Columbia Housing Authority relies on federal funds and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development grants for most of its budget. While the CHA might receive the funding it needs for now, some of the resources it relies on could be in jeopardy. "We have seen some cuts in staffing in one of our grants," Columbia Housing Authority CEO Randy Cole said. "We did have one staff member that was cut, as well as a couple of additional staff in that department."
One person has been arrested and the suspect from a vehicle pursuit Saturday in Callaway County has been identified. Callaway County deputies are searching for Dillion Johnson, 33, of Jefferson City, who they believe to be the suspect who allegedly ran from authorities following a pursuit of a stolen vehicle containing a stolen firearm.

Rolla Public Schools is developing a comprehensive plan to rebuild and ensure student learning after an EF-2 tornado struck the city the night of March 14. Mark Twain Elementary, Wyman Elementary and Rolla Middle School sustained substantial damage. As the district continues its recovery efforts, school officials hope to reopen as soon as possible.
