The Twins took Hill, the Texas high school left-hander, in the Competitive Balance Round B in 2024 and went over slot to sign him for $2 million. He’ll make his pro debut with Fort Myers this season. Leon was the Twins’ prize international signee in January, getting $1.7 million. He’ll get his career started in the Dominican Summer League. Carpenter, an over-slot 11th-round signing out of the junior college ranks in 2024, will join Hill on the Mighty Mussels’ pitching staff. On the shelf
Culpepper isn’t officially on an injured list, but had a hard time ramping up this spring, so he’s a bit behind in getting ready for the year. Eeles had minor offseason knee surgery to fix a cartilage issue, so he’s beginning the year on the Triple-A injured list.
