Really, how could you live in Virginia and not check out a few breathtaking Virginia bluebells during their peak bloom in the springtime?! These wildflowers bring an elegant wave of color to the Washington area when they reach their peak blooming period. Although, there is a chance you blinked and missed it in the past, as bluebells are particularly delicate. They blossom for roughly 10 to 14 days each spring, making them about as fragile as the beloved cherry trees in D.C. One of the best places to spot bluebells is along the floodplain of Riverbend Park. The park is hosting a ton of amazing activities during the spring season, many of them centered around the budding bluebells!
