The ACC/SEC Challenge matchups are set, and Mizzou’s hoops teams now know who they’ll face and when they’ll play in the inter-conference event.

Missouri men’s basketball is heading on the road to face Notre Dame on Tuesday, Dec. 2 in South Bend, Indiana, for the first matchup between the two teams since 2011.

Missouri women’s basketball has been tabbed for a home game, taking on California on Thursday, Dec. 4 at Mizzou Arena. It is the first confirmed game on the nonconference slate for new coach Kellie Harper’s first season in Columbia.

The men’s challenge will take place over Dec. 2-3 this year, and the women’s challenge will be played over Dec. 3-4, per the ESPN announcement.

The times and TV designations for both games are yet to be announced.

Both Mizzou men’s and women’s basketball won their games in the event last season.

Missouri men’s basketball beat California 98-93 with a second-half comeback win, as the SEC took 14 of the 16 total games.

Missouri women’s basketball is competing at home in the challenge for the second straight year after it beat SMU 68-61 at Mizzou Arena under former head coach Robin Pingeton last season.

Next season, MU men’s hoops and Dennis Gates will go up against head coach Micah Shrewsberry with Notre Dame. It is likely to be the Tigers’ final matchup before taking on Kansas in the Border War on Sunday, Dec. 7 at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City.
