Baseball



House pitched three strong innings and gave up no runs, hits or walks. Brody Comparto registered two hits for the Wildcats while Adam Bartley and Cole Cinnamond added two RBIs each.

Luke Wilz went 2 for 3 for the Clippers and scored two runs. Colton Sandiford also recorded two runs.

Yatsko threw 4 1/3 innings, giving up two runs on six hits while striking out seven Lions. Breccan O’Grady was 3 for 4 with three RBIs for the Rams. O’Grady also pitched 2 2/3 scoreless innings.

Bondurant pitched a complete game for the Packers. Nathan Lamarche was 4 for 4 and Nick Gasper totaled three hits. Ty Yates represented the losing Panthers by going 3 for 3.

Mosier represented the Truckers with seven strikeouts through five innings. Cameron Duke tallied four hits, four runs and four stolen bases. Jeremiah Lunceford totaled three hits and five RBIs, while Damian Sasser contributed two hits and two RBIs.

Angelillo struck out seven and allowed two hits. Chase Eliason earned the save, pitching three scoreless innings of relief for the Saints. Cole Goodman was 3 for 4, including a double and a stolen base. Cam Bergen and Noah Brooks added two hits each.

Softball



Riley Reynolds recorded two hits, including a three-run home run, while Sophia Avin had two hits with a solo home run. Courtney Wheeler added three hits and three RBIs to support Gabrielse, who gave up two hits in five innings for the Hawks (3-0).

Hannah Ferrell led the Wildcats’ upset victory over the Grizzlies with two RBIs and two hits, including a home run. Lexi Curtis also recorded two hits and two RBIs. Great Bridge finished with eight hits. Grassfield’s Braelyn Bailey and EG Hatcher both registered home runs, adding to the Grizzlies’ 12 total hits.

Kayleigh Rigdon, Rayna Klar and Hailey Lack combined for 10 hits, eight runs and six RBIs for the Hornets.

Brooklyn Mason led the Islanders with a three-run home run and was 2 for 5. Teammate Tinley Goodson was 3 for 4. Emerson Sweeney recorded a two-run home run for the Clippers and was 2 for 5. Hailey Lewis also recorded a home run, while Emily Jackson and Mackenzie Mongillo had two hits each.

Camacho gave up seven hits and one earned run in seven innings, striking out six. Mika Hilburger hit a home run with two RBIs. Ava Cramer represented the Eagles with a run, hitting 2 for 3.

La’Mia Estelle was the standout player for the Marlins by going 3 for 3 with three RBIs.

Caleigh Sgambelluri went 3 for 3 with an inside-the-park home run and five RBIs. Emma Serman went 2 for 2. Soule collected seven strikeouts and zero walks while going 2 for 2 at the plate.

Freshman Leylana Dininny went 3 for 3 for the Dolphins and drove in four runs.

Boys lacrosse



The Bulldogs fell to the Barons of St. George despite two-point efforts by Thomas Newman and Ashton Crocker. Elijah Gill and Wyatt Turner each scored four points for Blue Ridge, while Max Larsen added a hat trick.

The Saints captured a significant VISAA Division II win over the Eagles of Charlottesville. Howard Casterlow led with four goals and three assists. James Adams and Jackson Jensen each added hat tricks, with Adams also contributing an assist. William Henry Hoover won 65% of face-offs.

Girls lacrosse



The Crusaders were led by Olivia Odom with five goals, three assists and eight draw controls. Maggie Guild followed with a hat trick, while Mya Milan, Emily Roadfuss and Braelyn Goodrich all scored twice.

Boys soccer



The unranked Grizzlies tied with the third-ranked Falcons in overtime. Preston Ramsey scored for Grassfield, while Cox’s goal was by Tripp Horner.

Alex Barton, Logan Prendergast and Alex Halabi all scored for the Chiefs (2-0) to sweep the Comets. Matt Thompson and Halabi both provided assists. Kempsville meets Ocean Lakes on Monday.

Zachary McFadden scored the winning goal in the 55th minute. Jakob Mieszkowski added an insurance goal in the 66th minute as the SunDevils improved their record to 2-0. Goalkeeper Graem Sines recorded the shutout.

Ocean Lakes’ Jeffrey Paul recorded the first goal 23 minutes into the game with an assist by Baron Rand. The Tigers tied the score at the 51-minute mark with a goal by Mario Ewers, assisted by Bruce Thornton. Anthony Liberatore scored three minutes into overtime to secure the win for the Dolphins.

Brayden Heinrich scored the first goal with an assist by Ethan Bolden. Bolden then recorded a goal with an assist by Caelen Buchanan. Ethan Baugouild scored the Bruins’ final goal in the last minute of the game.

Boys tennis



Sam Sharpe returned from a set down to win for the Bruins. Freshman Vedant Bhende continued his undefeated streak, and Quin Romero served out the last game of his first match at love.

Jacob Chelsa (6-3, 7-6) and Mark Blahnik (6-0, 7-5) were victorious in singles and successfully teamed together in doubles (8-5) for the Dolphins. Mason Olivieri (6-4, 6-3) won in singles and doubles with Grayson Keller (8-4).
