Holly Holm was born on October 17th, 1981, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. As a youth, she was highly active, participating in multiple sports, including swimming, gymnastics, and soccer. Interestingly, she didn't start any form of combat sports until she fell into kickboxing by total chance.

3 In 2015, Holly Holm Shocked The World



She Fought Ronda Rousey At UFC 193



Holm battered Rousey from the opening bell, using her speed and elusive movement to bamboozle the champion. Rousey looked stunned after the first round and was bloodied from the nose. In the second round, Holm knocked out Rousey cold with a thumping left high kick followed by hammer fists.

In addition to her title, Holm won multiple awards for the victory, including Upset of the Year and Knockout of the Year.

2 She Was On The End Of A Highlight Reel KO



Holm Suffered A Brutal Knockout In A Boxing Title Fight



Despite her condition, the referee allowed her to get free from the ropes and continue. Seconds later, Mathis landed a devastating right hand that put Holm out cold. Miraculously, six months later, Holm won the rematch via unanimous decision. The defeat to Mathis was her last in boxing.
