The movie “Jaws,” the Steven Spielberg blockbuster, turns 50 this month, and Universal Pictures is pulling out all the stops to celebrate the franchise that has terrified generations.

Leading the wave is “Jaws @ 50: The Definitive Inside Story,” a new documentary premiering July 10 on National Geographic and streaming July 11 on Disney+ and Hulu, Entertainment Weekly reported . Featuring rare behind-the-scenes footage, production nightmares and interviews with Spielberg, Richard Dreyfuss and fans like Jordan Peele and J.J. Abrams, the film dives deep into the shark saga’s legacy, EW reported.

The original 1975 film will return to theaters in a national re-release in late summer. Volente Beach Resort and Waterpark in Leander, Texas, is offering “Jaws on the Water” where fans can watch the movie from inner tubes in open water, My San Antonio reported .

On Martha’s Vineyard — where the original movie was filmed — an exhibit is running through Sept. 7, Beaumont Enterprise reported. The Martha’s Vineyard Museum will showcase original props, storyboards, rare photographs and host walking tours and “Amity Island” events, reconnecting fans to the film’s coastal roots, the media outlet also reported.

The anniversary is also bringing new merchandise and theme park exclusives. According to Beaumont Enterprise, Universal Studios is releasing limited-edition “Jaws” collectibles at both its Orlando and Hollywood parks, including shark-themed sippers, coolers and retro apparel.
