Four fire engines and 25 firefighters are on their way to tackle a house fire in Hounslow London. Video footage from the area shows a huge plume of black smoke billowing high above the rooftops and into the sky. Onlookers can be seen watching events unfold. The London Fire Brigade has confirmed the blaze is now under control. 40 firefighters rushed to the scene earlier this morning following reports that a semi-detached property was on fire. A spokesperson said: "Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a house fire on Myrtle Road in Hounslow. "The Brigade's 999 Control officers received the first of 19 calls at 1138 and deployed crews from Heston, Southall, Chiswick, Richmond, Heston and Twickenham fire stations. Fire crews brought the blaze under control by 1300. "The cause of the fire is under investigation." Investigation launched into cause of fire
Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire. It comes after the blaze erupted shortly after 11.30 am this morning. The rear ground floor of the property was completely alight as well as next door's ground floor conservatory. Pictures show extent of horror blaze
Shocking pictures have captured just how much the fire has spread with thick plumes of smoke being spotted nearby. In the images, thick grey fumes could be seen rising from a distance. Witnesses noticed the smoke coming from a quiet cul-de-sac on Myrtle Road. Update from Fire Service
