ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. – A house fire has claimed the lives of two individuals in Elizabethtown.

The Elizabethtown Police Department says it responded to a call with the Elizabethtown Fire Department for a house fire at the 500 block of Hennon Lane at 5 am on Wednesday.

Fire crews entered the residence and discovered two deceased individuals inside the home.

Information on the identities of the victims is not available at this time.

Hardin County EMS and the Hardin County Coroner’s Office assisting with the investigation.

The Elizabethtown Police Department says there are no threats to the community and the area is safe.

The investigation is ongoing.
