Light up together online!
April 20, known as the stoner holiday, has become a big celebration in places like Denver, where recreational marijuana is legal. However, this year there will be no major celebration or weekend-long festival. We won’t hear Lil’ John from the now-canceled FlyHi 420 Festival or the beats of Snoop Dog surrounding Fiddlers Green for his (almost) annual 4/20 concert. Events big and small have been canceled, leaving those who were hoping to connect around the celebration of the green.
Not to worry, we have a list of virtual 4/20 celebrations and events that you can still enjoy from home.

5 Virtual 4/20 Celebrations in Denver
Highstream 420 Festival
This one has famous names and faces performing online, so there will something weed-related to check out all day long. The "free online experience" will feature artists like Melissa Etheredge, Disco Biscuits, and Ape Drums, as well as a very special tribute to Charlotte Figi, the little girl from Colorado who changed the way the world thought about CBD, but sadly passed away last week.
There will be workshops all day, including an ice water hash workshop, a Weed + Grub live podcast, Cannabis in the Kitchen, live speakers, marijuana and patient advocacy information, and more. This one streams for free all day on NUGS.TV on Monday, April 20. This is a nationwide event, and people from coast to coast will tune in to celebrate. The event is also raising money to aid non-profit groups and Crew Nation, a project put on by Live Nation to help support tour staff and crew who are out of work due to the pandemic. The fun starts at 4 p.m. EST and goes until 10 p.m.
The Mile High Virtual 4.20K
This one was going to be an outdoor running event, but since the pandemic changed everyone’s plans, it's now a virtual event. Those who had planned to run around Sloan’s Lake can post photos and videos of their best running times, tag the Mile High 4.20K, and get in on the virtual competition.
Weedmaps Virtual 4/20 Party
Weedmaps is putting on a virtual show that's sure to keep the party going all afternoon. Wiz Khalifa, Billy Ray Cyrus, Ari Lennox, Joey "CoCo" Diaz, Berner, and other top talent presents Higher Together: Sessions from Home for the "world’s biggest 4/20 virtual celebration." The organizers made sure that people in all four times zones can celebrate 4/20 together by jamming to an awesome online concert.
Chronic Relief
This is a live stream variety show with all sorts of weed influencers and celebrities. The event will be raising funds for Feeding America, a non-profit that helps supply food banks and pantries all over the country. If you want to join in, simply RSVP here, and you will be sent a link to the event. “The cannabis industry was built on the giving spirit and if there has ever been a time to harness the strength of the cannabis community, it’s now. Let’s come together to support those facing hunger as a result of the COVID-19."
420 for a Cause
This online weed celebration is hosted by comedian Andy Juett and features homegrown Colorado talent. Put on by LivWell Enlightened Health, the free live stream will raise money for local organizations supporting displaced workers and those working to fight the coronavirus pandemic. All donations will go to the following organizations: Colorado Comedy Relief Fund, Colorado Restaurant Association, Eddie Roberts Payback Foundation, and the Colorado COVID Relief Fund. The event starts at 1 p.m. MST and goes until 5:20 p.m. MST.
Although we cannot get together and celebrate 4/20 in person, we can still connect and help others during this time. So, grab your stash, light on up, then tune in and enjoy all the amazing talent and entertainment that will be streaming on Monday, April 20, in the name of all things weed-related.
There are also a lot of ways to get creative with live streaming puff-and-paint classes and cannabis cooking classes all over the place online. How will you be celebrating 4/20 at home this year? What other virtual events should we know about? Pass us that info in the comments.
