The Detroit Tigers continue their preseason schedule on Sunday afternoon as they head over to Tampa to take on the New York Yankees in Spring Training action. This will be the second game the Tigers have played this spring . They opened up Grapefruit League action on Saturday in Lakeland against the Philadelphia Phillies. Detroit fared pretty well last year during Spring Training, going 20-9, the second-best record in the Grapefruit League. The Yankees have already played twice during Spring Training. After hosting the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday, they traveled to Dunedin to take on the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday. The Yankees, who always seem to have high expectations heading into the season, hope they can perform better during the preseason. Last year, the team went 14-16, finishing with the eighth-best winning percentage in the Grapefruit League.
