The Illinois basketball team has fallen out of the national ranks, but can make a mark Saturday with a home matchup against No. 11 Michigan State.

The Fighting Illini (17-8, 9-6) have won two in a row for the first time in a month, defeating Minnesota and UCLA. Michigan State (19-5, 10-3) comes to Champaign having lost three of four Big Ten games — including two to opponents with losses to Illinois.
