The Illinois Department of Transportation has announced the commencement of a patching project on four bridge decks along Illinois 104 over Lake Sangchris, situated between Kincaid and the Sangamon County line. Lane closures will be necessary to facilitate the completion of this project. Traffic control measures, including traffic signals, drums, and flaggers, will be in place to assist motorists. The department stated that the benefits of this project include extending the lifespan of the bridges and providing a smoother driving surface. The project is anticipated to be completed by late August.
