The park touts its "revolutionary engineering" and boasts a variety of attractions for all ages, including giant, dry slides, a zip line, and sport air courts for basketball and dodgeball.

As reported by NBC Chicago , the first-ever 'indoor slide park' in Illinois, described as a "waterless slide park," is set for a grand opening on October 29. Slick City Action Park is not just targeting the kiddies; nearly 20% of its revenue comes from adults. Tickets for a slippery experience start at $13.99.

The North Aurora site is just the beginning, as Slick City Action Park has aggressive expansion plans. According to a press release published by NBC Chicago , there are intentions to roll out 500 locations across the United States. Already running locations in Colorado, Texas, and Arizona, they're now sliding into additional cities including Chandler, Arizona, and Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.

But why North Aurora, you might ask? Kevin Dugal, the vice president of operations, and a local Naperville resident, finds the new facility's location a homecoming. "As I have a lot of friends in the area that now have kids and feedback from them was there wasn’t a lot to do for kids in this particular area," Dugal told the Chicago Tribune . With attractions like the Launch Slide that rockets sliders into the air before they land safely on a giant air bag, Slick City is geared towards providing unique thrills.

The concept has apparently resonated with the community, drawing in more than just the young ones. Dugal highlighted the park's appeal to adults to the Chicago Tribune , stating, "We are actually seeing about 20% of our guests that are 18 and older." It's an entertainment venue that seems to be as much for the parents as it is for the kids, also offering group and company outings. And for the tots, there is a dedicated junior soft play area ensuring the little ones aren't left out.

Mark Gaffino, the North Aurora Village President, expressed optimism to the Chicago Tribune that Slick City would stimulate foot traffic and enliven an area that could use a boost.
