The Illinois football program has achieved a milestone by selling out of public season tickets for the first time in at least two decades. The program has sold over 34,000 public season tickets, not including student and premium seating numbers. The Fighting Illini's total season ticket sales are expected to surpass 43,000 by the time they kick off against Western Illinois on Friday, August 29. For fans still eager to catch the action, Illinois will offer a four-game mini plan starting Thursday at 9 a.m. CT. The mini plan, priced at $175, includes games at Memorial Stadium against Western Illinois, Ohio State, Rutgers, and Northwestern. Illinois is set to host seven games at Memorial Stadium this season and returns 18 starters from last year's team, which finished 16th in the final AP Top 25.
