Last time Donald Trump was president, he instituted an immigration ban on people from seven specific countries. Trump's administration also gutted the refugee resettlement program and instituted a "zero-tolerance" policy that resulted in the separation of families at the border.

Trump is now making several key appointments that hint at what immigration policy will be during his second term. This will undoubtedly affect Massachusetts, which has faced a surge of new arrivals over the last couple of years.

Radio Boston spoke to WBUR's Andrea Perdomo-Hernandez and Elizabeth Sweet, the executive director of the Massachusetts Immigrant & Refugee Advocacy Coalition (MIRA), about how immigration groups in the state are preparing for a Trump presidency.
