It's that dreaded time of the year when networks strip us from our favorite tv shows and bring down the axe. Here are all of the tv shows that have been cancelled this year. Did your favorite show make the cut? Or did it fall short?
TV networks can be ruthless! No tv show is safe as far as the network executives are concerned. I know I've been crushed by the premature cancellation of shows, some gone too way soon. (Looking at you, "Firefly".) Most of the time, shows are cancelled due to low ratings and low audience engagement, while others are cancelled due to contract negotiations or the series being unable to move forward with the storyline. Whatever the reason, losing a tv show is a painful process. You've gone on a journey with these characters and their story arcs for so long, only to be left with a sense of dread, not knowing what will happen to the beloved characters once the credits roll. To say the least, it's painful. You need to take the time to weep and process what happened. You'll no longer be spending your weeknights with these characters like you did before. But, relish in the fact that you will always have DVDs and BluRays of these shows to look back on. Please take note that the shows listed last aired in Spring of 2017 and will not include shows cancelled in 2016. Now, let's take a moment of silence to grieve these 49 incredible shows we lost this year. (Yes, 49 shows!)
