Nebraska receiver Isaiah Neyor — originally announcing he'd declare for the 2025 NFL Draft — will instead pursue options in the transfer portal, multiple recruiting sites reported on Friday night. The 6-foot-4, 220-pounder played his final game with Nebraska against Iowa. He was not with the team as it prepared for the Pinstripe Bowl, but he had accepted an invite to the East-West Shrine Bowl — a NFL-preparatory all-star game — and even announced, on social media, he was declaring for the NFL Draft. Instead, he'll seek a seventh year in college football. He redshirted at Wyoming in 2019, lost no eligibility for participating in the 2020 COVID-affected season, had a breakout year for the Cowboys in 2021, transferred to Texas, got injured in 2022 and played sparingly for the Longhorns in 2023 before coming to Nebraska. At NU, he finished with 34 catches for 455 yards and five scores. In the final three games of the season — after Dana Holgorsen took over as offensive coordinator — he had nine catches for 47 yards. In the last two weeks, Nebraska has signed two transfer receivers, Nyziah Hunter from California and Dane Key from Kentucky, designed to take the place of Neyor and Jahmal Banks, who remains with the team and will play in the Pinstripe Bowl.
