Are you prepared for the chilly Halloween weather?

It always snows on Halloween. Everyone in Colorado knows this. If you are new to the state, welcome! There are two, and only two, hard and fast rules concerning Colorado weather: Do not take your snow tires off until June and it always snows on Halloween. I swear Colorado gets more 'White Halloweens' than 'White Christmases.'

"Oh, but this year could be different!" you're saying. You're right. I'm being presumptuous. Let's take a gander at the weather forecast for Halloween ... a high of 46 degrees and a 60 percent chance of snow. Whoooo!! (Does the dance where you pretend to lasso something.)

Now, weather prediction isn't an exact science. There very well might not actually be a 60 percent chance of snow. In fact, I believe this number is inaccurate. I believe there is a 100 percent chance of snow, because it is Halloween and it always snows on Halloween.

This chilly forecast brings up a very important question: How does one dress for a snowy Halloween and still enjoy oneself? Honestly, if you are the type of person who really gets into Halloween, you're going to be fine.

But ...

As usual, you might want to forego your "sexy" costume. Instead of "sexy nurse" or whatever, you will end up being "sexy person who wasn't prepared enough for the weather to dress appropriately." That is not a very sexy costume. What I'm trying to say is, fellas, if you forego a shirt in order to go as a "sexy construction worker," know that it was your choice to do so and if you freeze, it's your own fault.

So, if you do decide that you absolutely need a skimpy Halloween costume, for the love of god, please bring a jacket. It's not worth looking good if you end up with pneumonia.

And as for the kiddos, parents, please bundle them up as you take them trick-or-treating. It's okay that their costumes will be covered with puffy jackets and hats and gloves, they'll still get their candy and eat it, too.

Will you be braving the cold this Halloween? What are you going dressed as? Let us know in the comments below, and stay safe out there, Colorado.
