JACKSONVILLE, Texas (KLTV) - The Jacksonville Police Department has arrested a suspect in a hit-and-run wreck that killed a bicyclist who was identified as Tayedrian Baker, who was 25 at the time of his death.
Baker was riding in the 1000 block of Austin Street on an electric bike when he was struck by an unknown vehicle. He was taken by helicopter to UT Health Tyler where he died from his injuries.
The vehicle fled the scene.
Following an investigation, police say detectives got an arrest warrant for Londedric Jayquell Taylor Sr, 30, from Jacksonville, in connection with the hit and run that happened on November 27, 2024. The arrest warrant was for accident involving serious bodily injury or death.
Taylor was arrested and booked into the Cherokee County Jail. The case remains under investigation.
