Jacksonville State football's 2025 schedule was announced Thursday by Conference USA and the school. The Gamecocks' season will start Thursday, Aug. 28 with a trip to UCF. The Conference USA portion of the schedule kicks off the next week against Liberty at AmFirst Stadium. The Gamecocks are at home for just five games in 2025, thanks to three new conference road trips. They also only have three midweek games, with just one at AmFirst Stadium. The Gamecocks won a Conference USA title in 2024, beating Western Kentucky 52-12 in the conference title game. The Gamecocks fell to Ohio in the Cure Bowl, ending the season at 9-5, after an 0-3 start. After the CUSA final, coach Rich Rodriguez stepped down to return to his alma mater, West Virginia.
