It's NFL draft month. So between now and when the first round begins, we will be highlighting prospects who could be of interest to the Jacksonville Jaguars .

Next up is Missouri offensive lineman Armand Membou.

Relative Athletic Score (RAS): 9.90

Stats to know

In three seasons at Missouri, Membou played nearly 2,100 offensive snaps, most of which came at right tackle. Over his career, Membou surrendered only three sacks. Over the last two years, Membou gave up just 23 total pressures in 849 pass-blocking snaps.

In this most recent season, Membou ranked 11th in PFF's pass-blocking efficiency metric among all offensive tackles, and he ranked fourth in run-blocking grade as well.

Fit with Jaguars

The Jaguars invested in the offensive line in free agency by making four signings. Those additions will help raise the floor of that unit. However, as Liam Coen mentioned at the NFL league meetings, the Jaguars are still in wait-and-see mode, to a degree, when it comes to this unit.

"I think we got some good sound, solid players that are going to help elevate that floor," Coen said . "But let's go wait and see what it truly looks like when we actually go and compete and do things the way that we're going to do them."

So, with some unknowns still lingering and with none of the contracts that the Jaguars handed out in free agency being of the magnitude that should impact their short or long-term approach at the position, adding competition--especially with 10 draft picks--still very much seems to be in play.

Naturally, the outside focus is on Trevor Lawrence and getting the passing game back on track, but accomplishing that starts with strong offensive line play, which includes having a run game to lean on and time in the pocket for Lawrence. Membou could provide a boost at either the tackle or guard spot.

NFL draft profile

"Young, talented prospect whose lack of NFL-tackle size will test teams’ willingness to make exceptions to their standards. Membou plays with composed quickness and elite body control. He delivers good pop on contact and has the range to spring runs with blocks in space. Footwork and core strength fuel stick-block sustain, but he can be outreached by edge-setters. His pass sets are technically sound, and he processes twists and blitzes quickly. Membou plays with a varied pass-set strategy and crafty hands to stymie rush momentum, but teams will have to live with long-armed rushers collapsing the pocket on him at times."
