The UFC returns to Kansas City on April 26 with a light heavyweight main event featuring top contenders Jamahal Hill and Khalil Rountree. The five-round headliner at T-Mobile Center was announced by the promotion on Wednesday. Both fighters aim to recover from recent stoppage defeats. Hill (12-3 MMA, 6-3 UFC), a former UFC light heavyweight champion, never lost his title in the octagon. An Achilles injury in a celebrity basketball game forced him to vacate the belt before his return at UFC 300 in April, where he suffered a knockout loss to Alex Pereira. Hill returned in January but was stopped via TKO by Jiri Prochazka. Rountree (13-6 MMA, 9-6 UFC) stepped in as a heavy underdog against Pereira at UFC 307 in August. Despite the odds, he delivered a competitive performance in a gruelling contest, ultimately losing via fourth-round stoppage. His effort earned widespread respect within the sport.
