And so, once again locals were fooled by FAKE SPRING and suffer another winter blast overnight and into the morning. Overnight we're hearing about a slew of power outages, a JoCo house fire, intense winds and sketchy streets . . . And so this post is really just a quick message to remind local commuters, early birds and coffee junkies to be careful this morning. Here's the roundup and more info via links . . . "A Blizzard Warning is in effect for the Kansas City metro and locations north through 6 am. Through this time, travel will be very hazardous due to very poor visibility and deteriorating roads. While snow accumulations are not expected to be overly high (1-3″ for Kansas City, up to 1″ to the east), blizzards are defined by visibility and winds... not snow amounts. Areas south and east of Kansas City are under a Winter Weather Advisory through 6 am to the south and noon to the east."
