The Kansas City Chiefs will begin their three-day rookie minicamp today, Saturday, May 3rd, and it is set to conclude on Monday, May 5th. The Chiefs' 2025 NFL draft picks , new UDFAs signings, UDFA tryouts, injured veterans , and select first-year players will begin work at the team's training facility. Whether they were drafted or not, rookies will experience their first moment in the NFL. Kansas City coaches will get their first looks at Josh Simmons, Omarr Norman-Lott, Ashton Gillotte, and others, who will wear the Chiefs colors on the practice field for the first time. The same can be said for the many undrafted free agents and rookie minicamp invitees seeking to impress the coaching staff early and hopefully secure a spot for future offseason activities. Each club may hold a rookie football development program for seven weeks, which in 2025 may begin on May 12. During this period, no activities may be held on weekends, except for one post-draft rookie minicamp, which may be conducted on either the first or second weekend following the draft. There is no available list of which injured players will participate during the weekend, but some familiar names are likely to be present at the facility.
