OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The Kansas City Royals promoted top prospect Jac Caglianone to Triple-A Omaha on Sunday night, the MiLB franchise announced.

Caglianone, who was selected sixth overall by Kansas City in last summer’s MLB Draft out of Florida, will join the Storm Chasers on Tuesday when they begin a road series against Salt Lake, according to MLB.com .

In 38 games played the Northwest Arkansas Naturals in Double-A, he slashed .322/.394/.553 with eight doubles, nine home runs and 43 RBI. The 22-year-old lefty walked 19 times in 175 plate appearances and struck out in 37 at-bats.

Kansas City will monitor Caglianone’s upcoming performances with the Storm Chasers, as the big league debut for the organization’s No. 1 prospect looms.
