Two separate rounds of rain and thunderstorms are in the forecast for Kansas City. Some of the storms could become severe, producing large hail and wind gusts up to 70 miles per hour, and in the evening, a couple of tornadoes cannot be ruled out. There will be a break in the action shortly after midnight before the second line of storms rolls into the region right in time for the morning drive.
