Kansas State basketball is coming off a disappointing 2024-25 season that saw them end the year ranked ninth in the Big 12 standings with a 16-17 (9-11 Big 12) record.

There needed to be wholesale changes if Jerome Tang wants to avoid a similar outcome in 2025-26, and the latest addition to their roster should help quite a bit.

According to a report from Adam Zagoria , K-State is adding Serbian guard Andrej Kostić and was able to do so thanks to an impressive NIL deal worth $1 million .

Kostić was the leader of Serbia’s U18 National Team in 2024, and played a major role in the team securing the Eurobasket Silver Medal .

Listed at 6-foot-5, Kostić played for Dynamic Balkan Bet in Serbia and averaged 15.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals in the U18 league.

With the reported value of his NIL deal, it’s clear that Kostić is a priority addition for the Wildcats.

He’ll join a host of other newcomers to Manhattan, too, with K-State also adding transfer forwards Khamari McGriff (UNC Wilmington) and Tyreek Smith (Memphis), and transfer guards Nate Johnson (Akron) and Abdi Bashir (Monmouth).
