Former U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte is poised to become the next governor of New Hampshire. With about 56% of the vote tallied, the Associated Press projected Ayotte's victory as she held a lead of 51.7% over her opponent, former Manchester Mayor Joyce Craig who had 46.2%. Craig called Ayotte to concede just before 10 p.m. During her victory speech, Ayotte said she looked forward to bringing everyone together. "So all I have to leave with is it's time to have some fun. So let's go celebrate this victory tonight. And I look forward to getting to work tomorrow for the people of New Hampshire," she said. Ayotte will be the Granite State's fourth woman governor. Republican Gov. Chris Sununu, the incumbent, decided not to seek reelection. He endorsed Ayotte.
