From 5 to 11 p.m., experience a night of devilish fun with Krampus and Santa Claus while helping children in need!
What are the things we love about Christmas? There's the tree, the baked goods, the presents (!) that give us that giddy feeling inside. But it's also about helping those in need, whether they are loved ones or strangers. So, let's give back to the community this season with Krampusacht D.C.!
Inspired by the creature of European lore, this annual fundraiser brings an unexpected twist to the usual holiday offerings. Celebrate the season with a charity walk, live performances, costume contests, and more in the H Street Corridor.
WHEN: Saturday, December 7, 2019 | 5-11 p.m.
WHERE: Gallery O on H | 1354 H Street NE | Washington, D.C.
ADMISSION: Suggested Donation $15 + $2.55 fee | Purchase HERE
With his horned appearance and propensity for punishing naughty children, Krampus may seem like an odd choice for a fundraiser. But it's all in good fun—proceeds benefit The National Center for Children and Families, a charity assisting underserved and vulnerable children in the D.C. area.
Starting at 5 p.m., there's the Santa's Cause D.C. Benefit Reception, where guests can mingle with Santa and Mrs. Claus and participate in all-ages entertainment, including a kids' costume contest. Then take part in the Krampuslauf Walk—a spirited stroll down H Street, infused with live music and performance. Kids will love seeing all the costumes and good-natured hijinks as they walk down the street!
Afterward, adults can head over to Gallery O for a grown-up after-party. Groove to live entertainment, dress up for a costume contest, and be blessed with the company of Santa Claus and Krampus in the same room. It can't get any wilder than that!
Before you grab your cape and horns, here are a few things to note:
- Kids under 12 receive free admission, but they must be accompanied by an adult.
- Tickets are not required for entry.
- The after-party is 21+ only.
