The cool LA hot dog restaurant Dog Haus, known for their funky creations, just opened up in Bethesda!
When you think of Los Angeles, hot dogs might not be the first thing that comes to your mind, but Dog Haus successfully brought gourmet and innovative hot dogs to the beachy city. Now Dog Haus has opened up their first East Coast location right here in Maryland. WHERE: 7904 Woodmont Avenue, Bethesda, Maryland 20814 WHEN: Sunday–Thursday: 11 a.m.–11 p.m. | Friday & Saturday: 11 a.m.–2 a.m. Dog Haus franchisee Faizan Khan hopes the Bethesda location is the first of over 10 locations across Maryland and Washington, D.C. The Bethesda restaurant has an industrial, modern look and features long communal tables and an outdoor patio. The restaurant has all the speciality hot dogs that made the chain famous on the West Coast. These include the Downtown with a smoked bacon-wrapped dog, caramelized onions, pickled peppers, mayo, mustard, and ketchup, and the Chili Idol with an all-beef hot dog, haus chili, cheddar cheese sauce, and onions. If you're not in the mood for a traditional hot dog, they have other options such as sausage sandwiches, burgers, and an awesomely named chicken sandwich, the Bad Mutha Clucka. People trying to stay a little healthier can enjoy the Sooo Veggie dog, with a veggie smoked apple sausage, wild arugula, avocado, tomato, crispy onions, and spicy basil aioli; or the Free Bird, with a turkey dog, avocado, tomato, smoked bacon, and miso ranch (okay, maybe not that much healthier!).
All of the sandwiches are served on grilled Hawaiian buns which truly adds an extra layer of flavor to the already flavorful hot dogs.

Dog Haus will also be having a happy hour every day from 3 p.m.–6 p.m. with $5 draft beer, $6 wine, $7 cocktails, and $1.99 tots & fries. The Biergarten has 24 local draft beers on tap and classic cocktails such as Moscow mules and old-fashioneds.
