WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - The Wichita Falls Legacy Lady Leopards had their first ever basketball signing Wednesday. Kya Thomas-Carroll signed to Lamar Community College. She is the first ever lady leopard to sign to play at the collegiate level. Thomas-Carroll played her first three seasons at S.H. Rider before playing her senior season with the lady leopards. “Well it can get me started, like cause I don’t know if that’s all I’m gonna want to do,” Wichita Falls Lady Leopard Kya Thomas-Carroll said. “So, it was just like a dream that came true and I just chased after it and hopefully these two years can push me some more and if I wanna keep going I’m going to keep going,” Thomas-Carroll said. She chose to have her big day at the All Hands Center. “This is a place where when I was little I use to practice and I had a coach here and this is where I started basically yeah I just wanted to try and do it here and its a good place,” Thomas-Carroll said. She was named to the Second Team All-District, and Academic All-District teams.
