UPDATE (12:50 p.m.) — Power is restored in Jenks after widespread outages in the city on Wednesday. PSO showed more than 3,000 customers without power in Jenks early Wednesday. The estimated restoration time was initially 1:30 p.m. JENKS, Okla. — A large power outage is affecting the City of Jenks. The City of Jenks said crews are working to restore power after a large outage Wednesday morning. The outage stretches across the City and is affecting Jenks High School, Freshman Academy and most buildings at West Elementary. Jenks City Hall and the police department are running on generators and some services may be down for the time being. The City said 911 is still operational for emergencies. PSO's outage map shows a large outage affecting more than 3,000 customers. The estimated restoration time is currently 1:30 p.m. Jenks Public Schools said parents of affected students have been notified. Students who need lunch will get pizza and non-perishables.
