LYNDHURST, Ohio -- Legacy Village has released a summer schedule of events that includes the return of its weekly Legacy Live concerts.

Also on the calendar are Village Trivia, Art in the Village, the opportunity for children to Meet the Machines and the North Union Farmers Market.

Here’s a closer look at what’s ahead at the lifestyle center at the corner of Richmond and Cedar roads in Lyndhurst.

Legacy Village will transform into an art lover’s paradise during Art in the Village during the weekend of May 31 and June 1.

An eclectic mix of more than 100 top artists will participate in the juried outdoor art and craft showcase, which features fine jewelry, exquisite works of art and hand-crafted apparel and décor.

Art in the Village also includes a full craft market with handmade organic soaps, live plants, delicious treats, affordable and practical artisan-created works and more.

The weekend will include live music from Cats on Holiday, Justo Saborit and Havana Nights, Steve Radcliffe and Back9 Par4.

Times are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 31, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 1.

Legacy Village’s free summer concert series, Legacy Live, returns June 7 and continues from 5 to 8 p.m. every Saturday through Aug. 30.

Enjoy a mix of live music, from pop and Motown to rock and rhythm and blues.

The North Union Farmers Market will get under way June 8 and run through Oct. 5. Times each Sunday are 9 a.m. to noon.

Located in the parking lot across from The Capital Grille, local farmers will showcase their fresh produce, dairy and meat products, honey and maple syrup, as well as items such as breads and pastries, cheeses, jellies, flowers and more.

Test your knowledge at Legacy Village this summer during Village Trivia, which starts at 6:30 p.m. on the following Wednesdays: June 18; July 2, 16 and 30 and Aug. 13 and 27.

Legacy Village’s Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA, see below) will be available throughout Village Trivia evenings.

Enjoy various food trucks on The Lawn throughout the summer. Stay tuned to Legacy Village on social media for a full line-up of trucks (schedule is subject to change).

Legacy Village is again partnering with the City of Lyndhurst to present Meet the Machines, from noon to 3 p.m. Aug. 3.

The event offers a unique opportunity for children to explore construction, emergency and service vehicles of all makes and sizes in a fun, family-friendly environment that will include games, safety demonstrations, music and vendors.

Legacy Village visitors can enjoy outdoor adult beverages while strolling and shopping through the Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA), which allows guests to enjoy outdoor dining and adult beverages within Legacy Village from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. every day.

As part of the DORA program, patrons 21 and older may purchase alcohol from participating Legacy Village locations, including Brio Italian Grille, The Melting Pot, Chipotle, Hyatt Place and Wild Mango.

Adult beverages can be enjoyed outdoors and at select Legacy Village retailers that display DORA decals on their doors.

Alcoholic beverages must be contained in DORA designated plastic cups. Cans, glass bottles or drinks brought into Legacy Village are not permitted.

Legacy Village’s newest addition, Sweet & Sassy , is a one-stop destination for children to feel fabulous and celebrated.

It offers everything from haircuts and spa treatments to birthday parties.

Shinto Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar plans to open its first East Side location at Legacy Village in early fall.

The restaurant will feature 18 state-of-the-art downdraft hibachi tables, three private dining rooms and an open kitchen with a sushi bar.

Plans for sushi classes to be offered twice a month will include making your own sushi, along with seasonal saki and wine pairings.

Private classes for organizations interested in team-building experiences will also be available.

Information about an opening date is forthcoming.
