ALEXANDRIA — The Glenwood-Lowry American Legion baseball team held off Becker Post 193 en route to a 10-7 win on Friday. Posts 187 and 253 scored 10 runs on 14 walks and five hits in the five-inning victory at Knute Nelson Memorial Field. It scored four runs in the first and third and had two more in the fourth. Alex Panitzke was key for Posts 187 and 253. The freshman from Bismarck State College went 3-for-4 with one double, two runs and a pair of RBIs. He is a 2024 grad of Minnewaska. Dylan Alexander, a freshman from the University of Minnesota-Crookston and another 2024 grad of Minnewaska, was 1-for-2 with two runs, a pair of walks and two RBIs. Noah Jensen, a University of Minnesota-Crookston commit and 2025 grad of Minnewaska, batted 1-for-2 with a double, three RBIs, two walks and one run. Ryland Martin, a 2024 grad of Minnewaska, earned the win for Glenwood-Lowry. The right-handed pitcher allowed six walks, five runs, three hits and one earned run. Glenwood-Lowry plays Watertown Post 121 and Champlin Post 57 at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Saturday back at Knute Nelson Memorial Field in Alexandria.
