MIAMI, Fla. ( WBRC ) - The Birmingham Legion FC got their first road win of the 2025 season on Saturday, May 24, with a 2-1 win over Miami FC.

“I’m really proud of the boys tonight, they performed well and did everything we asked of them at a high standard,” said Birmingham Legion FC Coach Mark Briggs. “We showed a determination and showed the resolve that allows you to get points. We’ve building blocks in place and the guys are starting to understand the standards that we’re asking of them.”

With the win, Birmingham moved their points total to 10 through 10 matches in the 2025 USL Championship season.

It also snapped a four-match unbeaten streak for Miami FC.

Despite the heat and humidity in Miami at Pitbull Stadium, Legion FC took care of business, thanks in large part to Tyler Pasher who made his first goal of the season and was involved in Ronaldo Damus’ match-winner.

Pasher finished the match with two of Legion FC’s four shots on target, all coming in the second half.

“He’s been magnificent,” Briggs said of Pasher. “The energy he shows as he plays consistently and he is always a threat. Tyler is one of the best players in this league. We’ve got to get high-level performances for us to be at our best. There’s still more to come from him.”

Legion FC’s next match comes up in Group 3 of the USL Jägermeister Cup at FC Tulsa on Saturday, May 31, at 7:30 p.m.

Their next USL Championship match comes up at Protective Stadium on Wednesday, June 4, against the Indy Eleven. That match starts at 7 p.m.
