Harper City, Maryland County – The Inter-School Sports Association (ISSA) Maryland County League continued on Friday, February 28, in Harper City with notable performances in kickball and football.

In kickball, Great King Academy dominated Jessica Kollen, winning 14-0, while Rancelia triumphed over Dr. Abraham Borbor with a 10-3 victory.

In football, Great King Academy played to a 1-1 draw against Jessica Kollen in the day’s early match, while Dr. Abraham Borbor delivered a commanding 10-0 win over Rancelia in the last game of the day.

The league will resume on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, with Pen Worth Academy facing Full Gosper Academy in both kickball and football during the day’s early match. Jack Martin Baptist will then play Agnes Thomson in both sports to close out the day.

ISSA President, Mr. Gar Zepu, praised the positive responses from ISSA officials in Maryland County, noting the strong support from participating schools. He highlighted the commitment of sports directors who have ensured that their students are present and well-managed during games.

“We are pleased with the positive feedback from our association officials in Harper City.

The sports departments of our registered schools have been actively supporting the league, and we are happy to report that the athletes in both kickball and football are adhering to the league’s rules,” said Mr. Zepu. “We hope they continue to maintain good sportsmanship until the league concludes.”
