MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - The City of Myrtle Beach is giving residents and visitors time to plan ahead for next month’s Myrtle Beach Marathon.

The city announced which roads will be closed for the big event, set to welcome thousands of runners on March 1.

Guests staying on Ocean Boulevard are also asked to park on the west side of the evening on Feb. 28 if they need to use their vehicles the following morning.

The race begins at 6:30 a.m. on March 1 with the wheelchair group, followed by the full and half-marathon runners at 6:35 a.m. and the 5K at 7:30 a.m.
