JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A councilman will announce on Friday his plans to introduce legislation regarding the future of Jacksonville’s neighborhoods and citizen engagement.

Jacksonville City Councilman Rahman K. Johnson will outline his plans to introduce legislation to codify the Neighborhood Bill of Rights (NBR) into the Jacksonville Municipal Code.

According to a release, this proposal aims to “formalize neighborhood involvement in public policy, empower advisory committees, and ensure lasting civic engagement across all districts."
