HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — It's NCAA Tournament time on Long Island!

One-seeded Cornell men's lacrosse meets Richmond in the NCAA Quarterfinals on Saturday with a trip to the Final Four on the line. The Big Red are riding an 11 game winning streak and are 15-1 overall this season, enjoying their eighth consecutive week atop the national polls. Cornell won the Ivy League regular season and tournament championship and now looks to continue it's quest for the program's first national championship since 1977. Richmond is one of the best stories in college lacrosse this season, winning the most games in program history (14) and winning the first NCAA Tournament game in program history in the first round against UNC. Follow along below for live updates.

FINAL: CORNELL 13, RICHMOND 12: Cornell's Andrew Dalton scores with five minutes remaining and the Big Red hold the lead to eek out a win over Richmond. The Big Red offense was led by sophomore sensation Ryan Goldstein, who put up six points on four goals and two assists. Cornell survives the quarterfinals to advance to the Final Four next weekend in Massachusetts.

COR 11, RICH 11 Q4 7:25: The Spiders have tied it once again on a goal from Joe Sheridan. West Genesee high school alum Dan Chemotti, Richmond's head coach, has his team very much in this game with just minutes left to play.

COR 11, RICH 10 Q4 12:16: Willem Firth nets his 31st goal of the season to finally give the Big Red the lead.

RICH 10, COR 10, Q4 14:34: Andrew Dalton nets one for the Big Red and we are tied up at ten-all with a quarter left to play. Cornell is 2-0 this season when trailing after the conclusion of the third quarter - they'll try to keep that perfect streak alive in the next 15 minutes.

HALFTIME: RICH 6, COR 5: The Spiders cling to a one-goal lead at the halftime break. Zach Vigue has made seven saves in goals for the Spiders, who have held the Cornell offense relatively silent through the first 30 minutes. The three-headed monster of C.J. Kirst, Michael Long, and Ryan Goldstein that has made the Cornell offense go this year has been held to just three goals in the first half. The Big Red have been a second-half team all year long, and will have to employ that strategy again here at the NCAA quarterfinals.

COR 4, RICH 3, Q2 14:04: Ryan Goldstein nets his second of the day on an assist from C.J. Kirst to even the score at 3-all. Seconds later, Goldstein assists Andrew Dalton to give the Big Red the lead to begin the second quarter of play.

RICH 3, COR 2, Q1 2:55: It's another customary slow start for the Big Red offense. Richmond's Max Merklinger scores his 30th goal of the season, beating Big Red goalie Wyatt Knust to take the lead.

COR 2, RICH 1, Q1, 8:43: Cornell's TJ Lamb sends it into the back of the net on an assist from Michael Long. It's just Lamb's second goal of the season. Ryan Goldstein got the scoring started for the big red earlier in the first.
