Winter is here, and with it, a growing number of open ski areas.
The recent snow and cold temperatures were just what the doctor ordered for our favorite ski areas. Loveland and Breckenridge announced their opening dates this week, adding to the growing list of open ski areas. The two join Wolf Creek, Keystone, and Arapahoe Basin, all of which opened in the last two weeks.
Loveland announced that they would be opening Wednesday, November 11, on Veterans Day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Skiers and riders will have access to the Catwalk, Mambo, and Home Run trails—just over a mile in total length.
“We have been waiting to welcome everyone back to the mountain since our season ended in March and are happy to announce that Opening Day is finally here,” Loveland COO Rob Goodell said in a press release. “We want to do everything we can to make sure we remain open for the entire season and are counting on everyone to do their part to help keep the season going. Be safe and be smart so we can keep skiing and riding."
Loveland will welcome guests through an online reservation system. Learn more about tickets and COVID-19 restrictions here.

Breckenridge will have about 80 acres of terrain available on opening day. Like other ski areas, they have a reservation system in place. Guests can start reserving their tickets for Friday and the following week tomorrow, beginning at 2 p.m. Passholder reservations are now open.
