BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - There has been little to celebrate the past few weeks for LSU fans and players alike. The Tigers came into Week 13 of the college football season on a 3-game losing streak, a major point of frustration for the LSU community. This is especially considering LSU was 6-1 in their first seven games of the season, that record turning to 6-4 in the blink of an eye. Donning new gold jersey’s for their game against the Vanderbilt Commodores, the Tiger’s main mission was to avoid a 4-game losing streak, something that hasn’t been a problem for them since 1999. Tiger fans luckily get to breathe a sigh of relief after being spared on Saturday night (Nov. 23), LSU coming out on top in Death Valley with a 24-17 win over Vandy. Despite an early 7-0 lead, the Commodores were unable to stop the Tigers once they got things going. LSU led 14-7 heading into halftime. Even with a fourth quarter resurgence from the Commodores, the Tigers pulled away with the win. LSU’s next game, against the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday, November 30, will be their final home game of the season. Kick off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
