CARTHAGE, Texas (KTRE) - Lufkin native Kash Martin took home the top spot in bareback riding at the Panola County Cattlemen’s ProRodeo in Carthage last weekend.

Martin earned money at two other rodeos over the weekend as well.

Martin finished in first place on a horse named “Skitterpop” with a score of 83.5 to win $1,109. At the Crockett Lions Club PRCA Rodeo in Crockett, Martin came in second place with a score of 74.5 to win $725. At the Tops in Texas Rodeo in Jacksonville, Martin scored a 79.5 on “Bay Delight” to win an additional $307 for a weekend total of $2,141.

Boogie Ray (Mabank) and teammate Devon Johnson finished in first place in team roping at the Crockett Lions Club PRCA Rodeo with a time of 4.3 seconds to win $1,022 each.

Troll Tettenhorst (Jacksonville) and teammate Karson Rhoades finished in third place in Jacksonville with a time of 6.6 seconds to win $398.

Jayse Tettenhorst (Jacksonville) and Kaden Profili (Jacksonville) teamed up to take on two rodeos in team roping. In Jacksonville at the Tops in Texas Rodeo, the duo won first place with a time of 4.4 seconds to win $795 each. In Crockett, the team came in third place with a time of 5.0 seconds to win $670.
